So I believe it is the agent's responsibility for not having informed me properly about the cancellation to cover the cost of my new flight. I assumed this email was a travel reminder at the time, and did in fact respond to it at the time asking if anything was wrong and for clarification in English, but this went unanswered for 3 weeks. I looked back in my emails and I did indeed have an email but the email was completely in Spanish which I do not speak a word of and had never been used in any correspondence/ booking. They informed me that they had emailed me about the cancellation about 3 weeks prior. I had periodically checked my flight status before hand through the agent's website and at no stage was there any indication of the cancellation.Īfter booking the replacement flight I called the agent to request a refund for the new ticket I had to purchase. The morning of the flight I arrived at the airport and discovered that my flight had been cancelled completely and I had to book a last minute flight with a different airline. I booked a flight through an online agent about 2 months in advance. ![]()
